We've had a chance to see the new format of colour and finished inks for Farm Lessions... what do you all think of what's been done so far?

What's your opinion on the Inking/colour on FL?

Amazing. It's publisher quality coloring that's for sure. If I ever find out who that colorist is.. I probably would love to collaborate with him as well. Of course the downside of it is that the coloring doesn't follow a 'true' cartoony feel which leads FL looking less vibrant, wacky, and fun.
Inking is good, it keeps with the comix looking 'JAB' even though it's done by someone else. I'm satisfied with the inks. No downside with it yet.
Lettering is surprisingly well done too.

A wise man once said...
"Any color, is better than no color. And if you sleep with turnips, you'll end up with blisters."
Wait!
I think it was actually me who said that...

quit poking the turnips Gaz. I like the clouring so far. i do prefer black and white sketch myself, but this adds to the depth of the setting. now we can tell what are dirty worn out clothes and whats new. i couldnt really tell unless it was torn or something. the sketches seemed, to me, clean. now we get to see all the dirt (and then some). i think it makes the comic more "real".
im hapopy with anything, just as long as the story is interesting.

I do like the colouring - it is fantastic. Not overly impressed with the inks. The pencils jab uses can be somewhat loose (an understatement, as we've all seen on some of the B+W comics of the past), but it doesn't seem that the inker is interpreting the pencils in the best fashion. It's making the page seem kind of sloppy looking (with loose pencils, the mind's eye can fill in the blanks better). The cover's inks look great, but the interiors... it looks like he was either in a massive rush or it's a different person altogether.
