Hate to burst your bubble, but I don't think most girls shave down there. I'm no Casanova, but I've been with a few girls, and none of them paid any attention to that area. Only pornstars seem to care about it. You could even ask the girls on this forum, and I'm sure they'd agree.

She might as well have used a filet knife sharpened on a stone!  

Yes, shaving is much more common with the ladies these days. And of course there is alway electrolosis if you want to make it permanent.
