Lib, you're taking this way too personally. I feel like your holding the potential talents that anyone else might possess against them instead of concentrating on your own. This is not only disrespectful, but it hurts everyone that chooses to participate and puts an overall damper on these contests. This is all supposed to be fun. If you aren't capable of handling a little friendly competition with a level head I suggest you take some time to reconsider entering any future contests until you can do so.

As for the Cosmo guy, since his post has already been removed I'll refrain from publicly commenting, it'll only add to the negativity.

It takes time and effort to build yourself up, and that's partially what these contests are about. I've told you this before, you're showing improvement and that's something to be proud of. You've gotten votes, you have the support of your friends as well as having an open-minded community to share your ideas with. You've even been recently accepted as an official WWOEC artist. You have every opportunity to keep challenging yourself and improving but you're wasting your time if you're looking to tear anyone else down in the process.

Hell, look at the first contests I entered here over in the member's section. I knew I didn't stand a chance at "winning" but it didn't matter. Although it's fun to be a winner that was never what it was all about for me. I didn't grumble that certain people had more experience or were popular with any group. I didn't have any fancy art programs on my computer or even a simple scanner so I could share a halfway-decent representation of my art. The challenge was to do the very best that I could do and push myself further with every project, and to me, even now, it's fun and exciting just to participate. I don't know what you see when you call some of this material "blessed," but I still feel you're implying that you think it's unfair to you because you believe it's "easier" for others and argue that experience and talent is an unfair advantage. The fact of the matter is that I've worked very hard to reach the point I'm at now and I'm sure everyone else here can say the same about themselves. And hell, I'm still chocked-full of self-doubt and frustration and am nowhere near where I want to be, but it's something we all go through. Something I do feel is unfair is to make assumptions about who "deserves" to win a prize or who would appreciate it more when you haven't walked a mile in the other artists' shoes.

Also, please keep in mind that this is Idic's contest, not an official JAB one. You're free to have your opinion about rules, deadlines, and what should and shouldn't define "porn" but he's the one who has the final say in the end. If you have issues with how things have been handled perhaps you should speak with him about it privately.

By the way, I don't hold any special status nor am I immune to BS just because of my name; that's not only a poor assumption to make, it's hurtful. If anyone acquires a reputation (good or bad) it's typically due to valid reasons. I do try my best to have a positive attitude and be respectful with everyone; maybe that makes a difference? Maybe it would do you well to stop being so negative and attack other people's work because it's a really good way to make yourself look like an ass. No offense.

Anyway, enough has been said here, so let's keep this off the forum. Take a break for some time to cool down and feel free to get a hold of me privately if you still feel the need for further discussion.


Oh, and speaking of Wikipedia. . . take another look at that page; my drawing isn't even up anymore; it has been removed due to "copyright issues." Ridiculous in my opinion, but apparently it's indisputable unless I make changes to my own work.

E totally failed to live up to her potential, for her it just sucks ass but its porn plot is not to big a part

as to JKRs line work the art
its just plan cool it has every thing it needs polish stile and form

and as to Es coloring work
it more than makes up for the half done story its truly just awesome

The whole thing seems to be backfiring and now as always with the collab contests things get blown way out of proportion, as you can see JKR and E's comic is growing steadily in the votes and I can't help but wonder if the "controversy" did something to inspire that. Anyway it's one thing to voice your opinion but it's a whole nother thing when it starts to get personal with verbal attacks at ones merits.

I'm trying to be fair here and while I will say the story for JKR and E's story isn't full on hardcore porn but the comic overall is simply a top quality project. it's beautifully colored, it's wonderfully illustrated, and it's amusing. As are many of the other comics. You think it's just point and click for who's submission I considered was the best?

I take some offense at the fact that it's being said we're voting for JKR and E simply because we're blind ignorant fools who are voting on a name basis and not the quality. I spent 20 minutes staring at the screen reviewing the comics trying to put them up against each other and rating them on different aspects. Believe me I wish I could've voted for more than one because it was that difficult, and I knew feelings were going to be bruised. But I shouldn't be guilted into voting for ones work otherwise the process is simply a travesty and untrue. Anyways I'm stating my opinion and think what you will, I play no favorites nor will I ever. i simply voted for the one I enjoyed the best, and it was a very close race for me!!!
