I was under the impression that any topic I replied to would generate an email if someone else replied. That's the way it seemed to work in the past, but while I get some notices, they're erratic and sparse.

I get new topic notices when site items are posted just fine.

To get such notifications you'd have to click on options then "Track This Topic." For some inexplicable reason though, this options box doesn't work on the classic skin but works fine on the other skins.

Aha! I've been using the classic skin ... strangely, it works some of the time, but erratically and rarely. I had been clicking the box at least some of the time, but shouldn't it automatically pick up if you respond to or especially if you initiate a thread? It seems it always used to.

Will try another skin.

Hmmm! I'm a bit more confused.

I went to "Options" and selected "Track this Topic" since I did not get notified when you answered. I got:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:

You are already subscribed to this topic or forum.

I had previously selected the box as below "Enable email notification of replies."

Curious. I got a notification for a latest AP page reply even before I had posted. Yet, several topics that I have posted to and requested tracing for, I don't get notification ... this topic for one!!!

Not trying to ride a dead horse, but although I seem to always get notifications of new Update Topics, I only get reply notifications VERY sparsely and erratically.

I did change my skin to IP Pro, and do request email notification, but sometimes I do, the VAST majority of the time not.
