More a solution than a problem really.

I copy pasted a link to one of my threads into my browser to see if it would still work, and it took me back to the old forums, complete with all the PM's I had saved. I don't know how, or if it will work for everyone, but if there was a message you really wanted to save, try it like I did. If you need an old link, use the one I did.
