DOPE fiend

I wake up in the middle of the night.
wondering where I am.
What I've done.
and how I got there.
Sudenly I'm on the edge of the roof.
Knowing I've done something.
Thinking, should I jump?
I look at my arm.
I see the marks.
and i know that I'm just a dope fiend.
I've done things that I don't want to know.
I've seen people that you wouldn't even look at on the street.
and at one time I wouldn't have either.
I wish I could go back to that time.
but for now I just stand here waiting, wondering, and hopeing.
God please let me see.
