Okay, in recent days more and more bots are hitting. at this point id like to request that some kind of anti-bot system be installed. many sites are now adding human/bot tests and it looks like we need one here. i couldnt find anything on google for yabb, which figures. but perhaps you can find a general perl compatible captcha and integrate it in....

Actually this current version of Yabb already includes a setting for a CAPTCHA "validation code" necessary for registering new accounts.. it was off before but I've activated it now ;)
Also, we weren't the only forum hit by this spammer..

I've utilized some of the suggested security measures. The next version of Yabb.. 2.2 will go much further in anti-spam measures.

argh. well it should keep out the realy lame bots, but its such OCR friendly text i think we're doomed if this goes on long term.
thsi is the coolest one ive seen. once its stable ill see about getting it to work on my own forum
