1. First of all, tell us a little about yourself.
2. What brings you here to JAB?
3. What's your favorite hobby? (You know, besides the whole toon porn thing.)
4. If you happen to be an arist and/or writer, what inspires you? If you're an art appreciator, what is it that keeps you coming back?
5. What kind of things would you do if you suddenly became a billionaire?
;D
Hello...My name is Joe Griffin, aka cartoonjoe, and I draw a li'lcomic strip titled "For The Love of Miss Truth", about an able, voluptuous English teacher whose clothes keep falling off in front of her students. I've been drawing this strip for my own group, first Cartoonjoe's Naughty Cartoon Page for Yahoo(*ptui*), currently in JiveToonz Comix at Zoomgroups for the last two years, now.
When I'm not doing dirty cartoons, I have a regular job working as a clerk for a shadowy govt. agency (hint: Pay your taxes on time!), otherwise, cartooning is my main avocation.
How I first found JABcomix was purely by accident, but I've looked and liked what I've seen thus far, and I hope I can become a part of this wild confederation of characters, both real and fictional! ;D
In addition to writing and illustrating my own comics and stories, I also am an amateur comics historian, collect old comics and animated cartoons, have an interest in old-time Radio and, when I get the opportunity, I love to cook.
My artistic inspirations are many and varied, from the classic adventure strip artists like Caniff, Zack Mosely, Al Capp, to the masters of the gag strip like Mort Walker and Charles Schulz, and fantasy artist like Frank Frazetta and Boris, and some of the classic pin-up artist like Petty, Vargas and Elvgren. Many if the "Termite terrace" directors---Avery, Clampett and Art Davis---also have a bearing on my style.
What would I do if'n I ever become a billioaire? I have a few notions, but it's probably best to keep those ideas to myself for the time being...don't want to give away TOO MUCH just yet!! ;)
Thanx for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself, and I apologize for being so long-winded on the subject. I have a feeling this is going to be a lot of fun!!

I figured I probalby should fill this out since I've been posting a lot lately and nobody knows who I am.
1) Hi, my real name is Ben. I've been a Jab fan since 1998. A family man with two future step daughters. The love of my life and I are going to try to get married this year. We were planiing on getting married last month, but money, sched, etc...
2) well... been a fan for almost 10 years. His art is incredible and I can't get enough of it. I just started posting recently because I figured it's time that I actually voice my appreciation to all the artists on the fourms. I've seen remarkable talent! Also, I did get a chance to talk to Baw a couple times in the chatroom (a while ago) and talking with him just showed me that there are some really cool people behind the art.
3) I use to be a pretty hardcore gamer, but now I'm not so hard. I'm also a comic book/anime/cartoon nerd. Which is another reason Jabville is an awesome place for me. I'm just a really big fan of the art that goes into comics, anime, and cartoons (writing and drawing). If work is a hobby, I'm a Unix system administrator.
4) I'm not an artist or writer. I've tried a couple times in the past to pencil stuff, but I can never find time now a days. I'm more of an appreciator, which I've explained in questions 2 and 3.
5) What would I do if I was a billionare? Besides two girls at once? Finally clear out all my debt, get a bigger house, pay for a life time membership to Jabcomix, then swim in it like Uncle Scrooge on Duck Tails.

there are some very talented artists here, i'm not one of them
I would like to say i would post more but i used to do that on a different forum before and ended up having all these people harass me and stuff so i hold off mostly, sorry about that. I have tried to work my way thru that though and my bf keeps telling me to just give it a try and if it happens then just stay in the background and enjoy the work that is posted.
There used to be someone who was called "mystery guy" or something similar that did animations and i really enjoyed his work but haven't seen much of it lately? been wondering if he's still around. (probably not the place to post this)
that's all for now and hopefully i can one day be more open like "Blue" is, since i know she once told me there are alot of gals on here so i'm not like alone and it's not just a "Guy Thing"

By 'Mystery Guy' I am pretty positive that you mean Calikid.
As for me being "open".. Hahahaha. Just cause I post darling, doesn't mean I am open, just obnoxious. *wink* Give it a try. You'll like it.
