Thought I'd share this with everyone... it's the script thus far on a comic I'm writing in an attempt to start my own online comic company. It's not erotica of any kind, but I thought you all might enjoy it regardless. And if yo look, yes I've been a member for a LOONG time but still haven't posted past the single-digit range. Dunno why. Just never did.
Anyhoo, here we go...

Beauty shot of PLASMID fending off simultaneous attacks by PYRE, VERSIPELLIS, & SINGE, while in the background, PSYCHE helps a dazed SPHERE, NUCLEUS stands in dumbfounded shock, and the crowd in the ballroom flees.

In a world where superhumans have existed for decades, the superhero is a rare exception. Today, a young team of would-be heroes has had their debut rudely interrupted.

Panel 1
Flashback to a few months earlier. Pyre – aka John Chambers – is sitting on a board evaluating potential members of the new team. The candidate in front of him has a homemade costume, complete with cape. It looks ridiculous, but he's just so damned excited to be there.
1. Caption:
Several months earlier...
2. Candidate:
Call me Leafmaster!
Panel 2
John isn't quite as thrilled. He's been through dozens just like this guy.
3. John:
Uh, OK, Mr.-- uh, Leafmaster. What exactly--
Panel 3
Leafmaster cuts him off, putting his hands around a potted flower decorating the table.
4. Leafmaster:
What can I do?
Panel 4
The flower's nearly doubled in size.
5. Leafmaster:
I make plants grow! Any plant!
Panel 5
The flower's getting so enormous, it's now a bush that covers the entire table.
6. John:
Oh-kay. Thats... different.
7. Leafmaster:
Imagine! Giant Venus flytraps to capture our foes! Living vine handcuffs that grow stronger when--
Panel 6
John's still not impressed.
8. John:
Yeah, that'd be great...
Panel 7
Leafmaster is overjoyed. Speechless, even.
Panel 8
John's not done. Get out the needle.
9. John:
...if we were in Wisconsin. But this is Vegas. A desert. Sorry.
Panel 9
Pop! Leafmaster's bubble has been thoroughly burst.
10. John (off-panel):
Next!
Page 3
Panel 1
As the next candidate is ushered in, thankfully wearing normal street clothes, the table collapses under the weight of the mutant flora. John hangs his head in resignation.
1. SFX:
Crack!
Panel 2
The candidate stands across the broken table from John, who's about ready to throw in the towel. It's Nucleus.
2. John:
State your name and power...
Panel 3
Nucleus holds up a fist. It's glowing, surrounded by crackling, green energy.
3. Nucleus:
David Brown. I can generate a kind of bio-chemical energy. I guess you could call it a--
Panel 4
Back to the present, boys and girls, in a splash panel that dominates the bottom 1/2 to 2/3 of the page. All off for the latest dose of ugly truth, as Plasmid is showing his true colors – namely the familiar greenish glow of his own bio-chemical plasmid, identical to Nucleus'.
4. Plasmid:
--Plasmid!
5. Plasmid:
My goddamned name is Plasmid!
Page 4
Panel 1
Sphere, who's off on the sidelines with Psyche and Nucleus, is a little confused.
1. Sphere:
Damn, Nucleus, dude's got the same powers as you!
2. Nucleus:
Not surprising, really...
Panel 2
Nucleus stands up on his own. Sphere's jaw drops.
3. Nucleus:
...he is my brother, after all.
Panel 3
Plasmid's head snaps around toward Nucleus.
4. Plasmid:
Half-brother! HALF-brother, you son of a--
Panel 4
Nucleus cuts him off.
5. Nucleus:
Don, have some respect for mom.
Panel 5
Plasmid's too wrapped up in his own anger to care.
6. Plasmid:
Go to hell. You don't know what it's like to suffer. You don't know pain. None of you do.
Page 5
Panel 1(left) – Singe
Another flashback, with Singe in the hot-seat this time. Her story runs down the left side of the page, while Versipellis' runs down the right. We see a young Singe – aka Nicole Harris – being beaten by her father, who's a drunken slob.
1. Caption:
You don't know what it's like to suffer...
Panel 1(right) – Versipellis
Versipellis' turn for a flashback. He's just a boy, about eight or nine, walking on a Los Angeles street with his father.
2. Caption:
You don't know pain...
Panel 2(left)
Close up of young Nicole protecting her bruised face with her arms.
Panel 2(right)
A car careens around a corner, with gang-bangers shooting out through the windows.
Panel 3(left)
Nicole grabs for her father's shirt, electricity crackling between her fingers.
Panel 3(right)
Versipellis' – aka Jim Williamson's – dad shields him from the oncoming fire, taking the bullets squarely in the chest.
Panel 4(left)
Nicole's father is arched backward in agony – he's being electrocuted.
Panel 4(right)
Jim is standing over his father's body in tears, screaming... and shapeshifting for the first time.
Panel 5 (across bottom of page)
Nicole is backed against a wall in fear, as smoke rises from her father's chest.
3. Caption:
None of you do.

Panel 1
Singe is ready to electrocute Plasmid then and there. He hit a nerve and doesn't even realize it yet.
1. Singe:
You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Panel 2
Versipellis shifts around her, restraining her.
2. Versipellis:
Easy, Nicole. Don't let him get to you. He's not worth it.
Panel 3
Pyre is facing off with Plasmid.
3. Pyre:
Why are you attacking us?
4. Plasmid:
I couldn't care less about you. I'm after David!
Panel 4
Nucleus approaches Plasmid & Pyre.
5. Nucleus:
Why? What have I done to you?
Panel 5
Plasmid rages.
6. Plasmid:
Why? You had everything! I had nothing!
Page 7
Panel 1
Plasmid & Nucleus argue. Plasmid points an accusing finger at Nucleus. At least no one's fighting anymore.
1. Plasmid:
Your dad gave you everything you wanted! You went to college!
Panel 2
Flashback: Plasmid's in basic training, getting screamed at by a Marine Corps Drill Sergeant.
2. Caption:
I couldn't afford tuition and got drafted 'cause I'm a freak!
Panel 3
Nucleus tries to keep his cool. There's obviously a lot of pent-up resentment here that he never knew about.
3. Nucleus:
Don, my dad's not exactly rich. You think he paid for my education? Hell, no! I did!
Panel 4
Plasmid's been blindsided.
4. Plasmid:
But I—I mean, you— How did you—?
Panel 5
Nucleus is pretty frustrated and embarrassed, and a little ticked off.
5. Nucleus:
Scholarships, genius. Grants. Loans. Part-time jobs. Whatever it took.
Page 8

Panel 2
The MPs are approaching Plasmid, ready to shoot him if necessary.
3. MP:
Private First Class Donald Bryton, you are under arrest.
Panel 3
The lead MP grabs Plasmid firmly by the shoulder.
4. MP:
You're charged with dereliction of duty, striking a superior officer, assault with a deadly weapon, absence from your place of duty without authorization, and failure to go.
Panel 4
Another MP puts the cuffs on a dejected Plasmid as the lead MP continues.
5. MP:
Do you understand these charges, Marine?
6. Plasmid:
Yes, Staff Sergeant.
Panel 5
One of the MPs cracks open an ampule under Plasmid's nose.
7. SFX:
Snap!
Page 10
Panel 1
Pyre backs away in fear.
1. Pyre:
Jesus Christ!
Panel 2
Versipellis steps forward, as the MPs escort Plasmid outside.
2. Versipellis:
Was that what I think that was?
Panel 3
The lead MP pats a pouch on his web belt.
3. MP:
Dampening gas, yes.
Panel 4
Nucleus is irate.
4. Nucleus:
That shit's nerve gas!
Panel 5
The MP is annoyed at their reaction, but not concerned.
5. MP:
Non-lethal, and the effects are temporary. Especially with such a low dose.
Panel 6
Pyre steps in.
6. Pyre:
That's beside the point.
Page 11
Panel 1
The MP doesn't get it.
1. MP:
What do you care? He just attacked you!
Panel 2
Nucleus is visibly restraining himself from attacking the MP.
2. Nucleus:
He's my brother, asshole!
Panel 3
The MP understands now.
3. MP:
Look, dampening gas is standard procedure – for our safety as much as his. It temporarily paralyzes the part of his brain that controls his powers. It'll wear off in a few hours, and the worst he'll get is a headache and a runny nose.
Panel 4
The MP turns and leaves.
Panel 5
Extreme close-up of Nucleus. He's furious.
4. Nucleus:

3. Kevin:

Panel 2
Kevin shuts his locker. He's in a deep, dark place lately.
4. Kevin:
I got kicked off the team because my powers became public knowledge. I never cheated, but some people will never believe that.
Panel 3
John looks at Kevin askance.
5. John:
Who cares? I know you didn't – you wouldn't – and that's what's important: your friends believe you, and we're here for you.
Panel 4
Kevin appreciates his friend's attempt to cheer him up, but he's still pretty depressed.
6. Kevin:
Superhumans aren't allowed to play in competitive sports. Period. "Unfair advantages...!"
7. Kevin:
Do you realize the team had to forfeit every game I played in this season? We were undefeated!
Panel 5
Kevin's retreating once again pretty deeply into self-pity.
8. Kevin:
Life isn't so bad for you... people love you... but everyone in school hates me now...
9. Danielle (off-panel):
Not everyone...
Page 13

And who'd know better than a telepath, right?
3. Danielle:

Panel 3
The three walk off down the hall together.

Here's a cover sketch for the first issue, complete with logos... the final cover I'm planning to do will be a bit different and more dynamic, though. This was more for practice with Scribus, my desktop publishing program...

Panel 5
Jim and Nicole are playing video games at GameWorks, on the Strip.
6. Nicole:

7. Nicole:
Lose the extra digits, Jim! That's cheating!

Establishing shot of the main gate of Nellis Air Force Base, on the northern edge of the city.
Panel 2
David is meeting with a Security Forces sergeant, who doesn't seem thrilled to be there.
1. Sergeant:
I'm sorry, sir, but your brother is no longer here.
Panel 3
David's not pleased.
2. David:
Where is he?
Panel 4
The sergeant would really rather be doing just about anything, rather than deal with this civilian.
3. Sergeant:
He's been transferred back to his unit in California, pending court-martial. I don't know anything beyond that.
Panel 5
That's not enough to satisfy David.
4. David:
Look, I--
Panel 6
The sergeant doesn't want to waste any more of his time dealing with this. He's writing something down.
5. Sergeant:
He was only held here temporarily because this was the nearest military base. He's back in Marine custody now. Here's a contact number for his unit. They can answer any other questions you have.
Panel 7
David snatches the paper from the sergeant's hand.
Page 15
Panel 1
John bursts through the doors to his father's office, a newspaper rolled up in his hand.
1. John:
Dad!
Panel 2
John puts the paper on his father's desk. We can't read what it says yet, but it's got John pretty upset.
2. John:
Do you know about this yet?
Panel 3
Now we see the paper. It's a smaller story, buried somewhere on an interior page, but the headline reads, “Leafmaster sues Union,” and the subhead says, “Claims race discrimination.”
Panel 4
Max Chambers looks up at his son.
3. Max:
Yes, I'm aware of it.
Panel 5
John's worried.
4. John:
What are we going to do about it?
Panel 6
Max stands up to look his son in the eye.
5. Max:
You're not going to worry about it. My lawyers can handle this.

John starts to protest.

Max cuts him off.

I know. Don't worry about it.

Max sits down again as John continues to worry anyway.
3. John:
I'm the one who rejected his application. I'm named in the suit!
4. Max:
John, let my lawyers worry about it.
5. Max:
Frankly, we were expecting this, sooner or later.
Panel 4
John's confused.
6. John:
You expected this?
Panel 5
Max relaxes in his chair.
7. Max:
Not this, specifically. But we did expect someone to litigate eventually – injury claims, property damage...
Panel 6
John sheepishly lowers his head.
8. John:
Oh.
Page 17
Panel 1
Max stands up again and puts a hand on his son's shoulder.

Panel 3
Max smiles reassuringly.
3. Max:
I have it on good authority that this team has great things coming.
Panel 4
Back to John.
4. John:
And you're sure I'm the right person to lead it?
Panel 5
Wider shot, encompassing both John and Max, as well as Max's desk, particularly the intercom/phone.
5. Max:
Someone once told me, “Believe in yourself, and others will believe in you.”
6. Intercom/phone:
Mr. Chambers, Ms. Aeon is here to see you.
Panel 6
Max steps back to his desk and activates the intercom.
1. Max:
Sorry, John. I've got an appointment. We'll talk later, OK?
2. John:
Sure, Dad.
3. Max:
Send her in, Marcia.

Panel 1
“Ms. Aeon” interrupts him.
1. Aeon:
Now that we're alone, we can dispense with the pseudonym.
Panel 2
Max smiles, but it's without humor.
2. Max:
In exchange for yet another. Tell me, will I ever discover who you truly are, Tempora?
Panel 3
Tempora smiles back, but this one is the genuine article.
3. Tempora:
In time. But not just yet.
Panel 4
Max leans forward, resting his forearms on his desk.
4. Max:
You could have warned me, you know. I could have had extra security in place--
Panel 5
Tempora shakes her head.
5. Tempora:
No, that would have only made things worse.

You expected this?
Panel 5
Max relaxes in his chair.
7. Max:
Not this, specifically. But we did expect someone to litigate eventually – injury claims, property damage...
Panel 6
John sheepishly lowers his head.
8. John:
Oh.
Page 17
Panel 1
Max stands up again and puts a hand on his son's shoulder.
1. Max:
Don't worry about it.
Panel 2
John meets his father's eyes.
2. John:
Are you sure founding this team was such a good idea?

John stops, slack-jawed, as a gorgeous redhead in her mid to late 20s walks into the office. She's wearing a business suit, and it's obvious that she's in exceptional physical condition.

Panel 1
John continues to stare as she walks confidently past him.
Panel 2
Max interrupts his son's sudden loss of conscious thought.
1. Max:
John...
Panel 3
John snaps back to reality.
2. John:
Wha--? Oh. Right. Later.
Panel 4
John walks past his father's secretary, Marcia, who's trying not to laugh.
Panel 5
Max sits down behind his desk once again.
3. Max:
Now that we're alone, “Ms. Aeon”--
Page 20
Panel 1

Panel 1
Max is all business now, and dead serious.
1. Max:
You've given me plenty of good advice over the years, but I still need you to ease my conscience here. This is my son we're talking about...
Panel 2
Tempora counters him with equal seriousness.
2. Tempora:
I haven't lied to you. Ever.
Panel 3
Max is truly worried, and trying not to show it.
3. Max:
I know. That's the only reason I founded this team like you asked.
Panel 4
Tempora leans back in her chair, relaxing slightly from her otherwise rigid posture.
4. Tempora:
Then what's the problem?
Panel 5
Max is frustrated.
5. Max:
You've never steered me wrong, but I'm still hesitant about putting my son in harm's way like this.
6. Max:
And my ex-wife went through the roof when she found out about the team.

Your son will be fine. And the team?
2. Tempora:
They're going to save the world.
