Drawing Jam Suggestions

Concepts:
- Adapt a story from the Writers' Corner into comic form
- Draw something in a specific style (to encourage artists to try something different than normal, e.g. Anime, Realism, etc.)
- Seasonal Jams (e.g. New Year's, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc)
Specific themes:
- Superheroes & their villains (terms generic, not gender-specific)
- Original characters (create your own & tell us about 'em!)
- Bliss (what makes you happy?)
I can probably come up with some more...

- Jam per month is very little, one per weak at least
- Different categories to draw
- Famous
- Superhero
- Movies
- Thematics
- Historical contexts
- Seasonal
- Porn (Of course)
- etc---(any suggestion?)
Sometimes we've nothing special on mind, and I thought that a weekly jam would be a good idea
- Perhaps maybe it's kinda complicated to change style of american to anime, but that also is a good idea, (I agree with you Jeff)
- A JAB jam would be good too

I've had a few ideas in the back of my mind and I might as well throw them out here right now. . . many of you are aware that a certain other board holds these once a month and that it's almost always done from photos of women. Seeing how this is a site that revolves around not only the beauty of women in general, but actual (gasp!) porn we could easily do the same and step it up by several perverted notches. . . [smiley=evil.gif]
But since this is also a site that revolves around the love of toons I thought it might be neat to center some jams around specific characters (including parodies of cartoon characters as well as JAB's own original characters).
I'd like to point out once again that one of the purposes of having a jam here is to get people to try new things, so I'll do my best to be open to all suggestions. I wasn't sure whether or not to host it as a jam, but I'd been thinking about suggesting threads in this section where people can try illustrating stories from our Writer's Corner. I also thought it would be great to have jams done in a specific style.
Anyway, I see a lot of great ideas here. . . keep 'em coming!
Perhaps sometime in the future we could host them more frequently, but for now I'd like to stick with a monthly format and see how it goes.

How about, "It happened one night in Jabville"?
Been wondering what a paparazzi could shoot while walking around Jabville.
All the places mentioned in http://www.jabcomix....?num=1161645597, mixed with Jabville's finest and toon characters.
Like Penny hanging out at Hater's Tea table;
who's ducking in at EW's adult toy store;
bonfire at Chewy's treehouse;
Blue giving a first flying lesson;
who's ordering "with extra anchovies" at Bedpan's Pizza;
etc.
Slips paper into slot, crosses fingers...

All the jabbers that want to enter create alter egos and stuff ;D ;D
you could do small comic strips of you super hero doing things like saveing the would from giant chickens, or saving Kat stuck up a tree ;D ;D. ;D
you could also team up with people, or create a team ;D ;D
anyways thats my idea

you know.... style, characters, situation and alike are left up to the artist, but we all conform to a set pose?

but to add a few more...
1- this one's time consuming... first everyone who is interested 'signs up' so to speak. Then one person starts it off. they draw a one page strip about whatever. At the end of it, they name a person on the list. That person continues the story by drawing up another page. and then they choose someone else off the list. No one can be used twice until the list has been completed. And for those coming in late, well, then just state a little 'I'm in' and their name is added to the original list by the individual put in charge. What i think is awesome about this is that no one really knows what will happen next. we all get to add our little two cents here and there, but it's really a group effort to finish the project. could be fun.
2- a Jabville Kama Sutra.... Now tell me that isn't awesome!
In all honesty, i'm leaning more on the second, but i do like them both.
