Interesting Bed. The only issue I have with this is that Enigmawing should be posting the Drawing Jams in the Drawing Jam area. If we have people just doing whatever then we will have tons of Drawing Jams, kind of defeats the purpose of a drawing jam if there are to many to choose from. I know that there wasn't any stipulations on this, so we'll let this one go. I'll post General rules for Drawing Jams soon. Please if you have an idea for a Drawing Jam in the future, email Enigmawing. Thanks honey.

EDIT: aaah jsut read ya rules topic. ok, thanks for letting this one go by. everyone has a say on what the jam is? or is this enigmas free comission area :D lol

Okay let me make this clear, cause obviously there's been some confusion about it all. The reason why one person only should post the *monthly* drawing jam is so that there are not 15 drawing jams going on at the same time. The purpose of the drawing jam is for everyone to try new things. To draw a subject they may not normally draw. If they have 15 choices on which drawing jam to take place in then they are going to participate in the one closest to their style or that is easier for them to do. That obviously is not going to help anyone jump out of their comfort zone.

The reason Enigmawing will make the final decisions and post the drawing jams is because she is a Moderator for JABcomix. Therefore she will do what she thinks is best for the site. Her personal preference will have nothing to do with it. Actually she didn't even choose the last drawing jam. And I suppose I should make something else perfectly clear, you may *request* an upcoming jam, but the final decision will lay with E, so don't be upset if your idea is not chosen.

Anywho . . . good luck and have fun drawing Simon Pegg!!

Thanks for being understanding, Bed.  Including the drawing jam here at JAB was an idea I had a long time ago, and everything kind of came together when the forum got revamped.  I'd like to keep it once a month as Blue was saying, and the main reasons I'm going to remain in charge of it is for both consistency with how it's presented and to ensure a variety of subjects.  I'll be open to suggestions (just as I had been with the very first one) so this isn't exactly a free commissions thing. . . this is supposed to be for everyone.  ;)

Anyway, bring on the. . . male art?  Wow, I don't draw guys very often.  I really liked the expression in the one pic.  :D

This is a 15-minute sketch, done in mechanical pencil.

and second, i love your drawing. your drawings always glow... if you knwo what i mean. you captured the true expresion in the photo! this was so weird, i was about to post this...

see you capture the exresion in the photo, mine has an expresion, but its not the one in the picture... if you know what i mean.

I'm in awe of the talent here.

I'll stick to appreciating.

How many of you artists ignore pen and pencil and just do your work with a mouse? I can make fair renditions to illustrate my engineering designs . . . at least they make sense to the craftsmen who work with them, but I find the mouse/ball/touchpad too clumsy and inexact. And that's without dealing with the jaggies.

Mostly I sketch and scan, but would like to eliminate the extra equipment and steps.

I thank you for your willingness to share.
