I've almost got my story ready, but how do I get it posted here? Do I need to type it out or is there a way to attach it.

Post it In the writer's corner.

Unfortunately the forums don't provide any form of file attachment at this time.

Just use copy and paste, no need to retype anything!

Copy and paste does not work. It did not for me. I wrote a script style comic and copied and paste it. The spacing was just to big. I did go and fix it in the thread but I should not had to go and do it.

My solution to story posting is prepping the text offline in TextEdit [or Notepad] where the word processor text can be converted to plain text. Then:

Remove all the extra lines.

Check for any high-bit character problems; like ellipsis, smart quotes, etc., and replace them. Most are fixed during the Pasting though.

Then, add in the forum's italics and bold tags since [ i ] & [ b ] usually aren't recognized.

Run a spell checker. Yeah, I usually forget this step too.

Lastly, Cut & Paste the plain text (the editor 'likes' plain text) into a forum post and add any colors or font changes using the controls.
