Spaceace - Well, I hope you enjoyed it both times. Maybe laughed a few times as well.

fannum - Hopefully it didn't put you to sleep!

Sinope! - Thanks, man. I was really proud of JBD when he came up with something that actually had a story arc. The comic had to move at a very fast pace to get it all in there, which I was worried about, but hopefully it came across ok.

Erikon - Thanks man. I definitely think if you are going to do a Farm Lessons comic, it should be about the comedy, as well as the sex. And I was hoping we pulled that off. The squirrel was really there for just a minor joke, but as we kept talking that joke kept growing and I found myself sneaking him into panels in the background. I think he is actually in there as many times as Mama (aka Grandma), who was intended to be a fairly main character.

GreasyMoose - Thanks!

Marksman - Glad you liked it.

Harley Quinn - Thanks. Good to know folks thought it was funny. I think sexy and funny are the two things you have to shoot for in a Farm Lessons comic, and not necessarily in that order. I'm glad you thought Clevus was fine. I tried to find a way to make him more attractive, still has most of his hair and hasn't gotten his big beer belly yet. I'm surprised you didn't think the same about Jeb... everyone loves a mullet. As for fitting into canon, that was kind of the overall goal. We didn't want some silly story that doesn't fit in. We really tried to make it feel like an early issue of the comic. The problem was that we came up with enough content for a full size comic and had to do it in about 1/3 of the pages.

thank you all for the positive comments!

Sinope!, Karmagik thought it was a lot of story for 7 pages too! But luckily I was able to talk him into drawing most of the original script. We did have to cut it down some to fit it all in 7 pages. Originally, it also featured Beuford and Shelly, but it became too cumbersome and too many characters for only 7 pages.

Harley Quinn, as Karmagik mentioned, one of our goals was to fit it into canon. We really tried to reference events in the Farm Lessons comic.

thanks everyone for your comments!

Thought you guys and gals may be interested in seeing a bit more of the sketch work done in the preliminary phases of the comic...

I posted the ones for Nelly and Clevus earlier... here's Grandma (and her little buddy, the Squirrel)!

Grandma looks great! Good job with her boobies. A little saggy but still sexy.

Keep up the posting! Nothing like giving away some freebies to promote some votes for your comic.

Sinope - Thanks man. I really wanted to try to show her in her years before she became a super-scary, saggy, wrinkled rape-monster. Aged a bit, past her prime, but still very fuckable.

Here's a couple more sketches. The preliminary pics for "Sis" who I don't believe actually has a name mentioned in the comics. The original script only called for her in dominatrix gear, so that's all I sketched, but as we got it hammered out she played a much bigger role.

And also some pics of Jeb... sexy mullet time, for the ladies.

I admire that you and Starforce and our team put a lot of effort into developing a back story, delving into the unknown and hinted at areas of JAB's world, but no one takes the time to read. Are people just voting on familiarity, or does blatant campaigning really do the job.

Ah well, we tried!

Good work mates, and your paying attention to the contest parameters and magnificent efforts are appreciated.

Cheers

fannum - Thanks, man, we really tried our best to make it feel like this was a comic that could have taken place before issue 1 of Farm Lessons. Just a little tale somewhere in the history of the cast. Worked in as many gags as we could that call back to other issues and the like.

JKR666 - Thanks, man. Here's another, if you're interested.

So, we originally had a bit in the story with Beuford and Shelly. But the comic was playing out way too long already and we ended up cutting it (and I think making the comic stronger because of it). But I did some sketches of them anyway, thought folks might wanna see.

That was our intention, building the back stories for the Ay Papi characters, and filling in some gaps.

There is so much to explore, and if you check with my original partner, Julio Sinope, we had toyed with having Eric and Richard's championship football game being against the Maker Holler Wolverines, with Cletus and Jeb being the stars and Nellie and Sis being the buxom cheerleaders ... imagine Daisy Dukes outfits!

It would have wound up with Beuford being the conniving sleeze who conspires with Chester to throw the game. Shelly and the Saunders girl would have been the buxom blonde bombshells!

Of course, in seven pages it was a lot to fit in, and I think even our drastically cut back second version scared Julio. I admire Mavruda for sticking it out and I acquired a new friend.

I really love your take on the young Maker Holler clan, and think your take on the younger characters is GREAT!! I'm a bit surprised that this forum has not been more active in discussing the wonderful fertile imaginations of seven teams.

I think that EACH team took JAB's ideas and ran in different directions. I love the simple yet complex renderings of Subarashi who took a brief imaginary episode and lovingly expanded it. Gem and Julio found far more hidden within the Wrong House theme than I thought that story line had in it. And the Starforce artistic rendering details are the Sistine chapel of porn ... always some hidden detail or tidbit hidden in a well drawn corner. Our buddy JKR seems to really have been impressed by Dallas dream episodes.

I'm really thrilled by all the variety and details explored by 14 minds in this competition.

Bless you all! It's been a great ride!

Cheers
