Unlike last year, This year is packing a lot of action movies. Super 8, Thor, Pirates 4, Harry Potter finale, Conan, Captain America, Transformers 3, x men, green lantern, smurfs, Priest, cowboys and aliens, etc...

Heh heh. Smurfs.

Regarding Suckerpunch . . . haven't seen it, and I had a rant on it a few months ago in another thread here. Might see it on Blu, but I have yet to see anything to make me think Zach Snyder can do a good Superman movie. He can do fanboy, stylized action, but I haven't seen anything with any soul from him, and I think a Superman movie needs a good soul to it more than stylized action. Unlike many fanboys, I really enjoyed Superman Returns because I think Singer had a good grasp of the character; sure, there wasn't a lot of action, but I really liked the story of Superman trying to find his place in a world that had moved on without him. And the latest DC animated movie, "All Star Superman" really nailed the character. If Snyder can deliver a movie with as much heart as style, it could be great (and his casting so far has been really good).

I didn't like Lex's plan though. It sounds good in theory.. From what I was able to understand. But without military might, he'd lose his new territory pretty quickly to any nation ( and supposedly this is a world with Batman, WonderWoman, Green Lantern, etc). And I'm sorry, his three thugs can't protect an island the size of New York.

And the kid was a big turn off. I'm not a fan of adding things just to appeal to that demograph. Snyder isn't writing superman. He just needs to appeal to the fans.

I've heard Superman All Stars is the best portrayal of superman in a long time.

@ GIRLY
you darling NEED CANDY ^^cus it was a great film .

the movie that pissed me the hell off ( how the #$%^ does Winona rider keep getting work ) was the Dilema with vince vaughn .

just came back from Red Riding Hood. similar to the original version of RRH , but with a great punchline ( 4 stars out of 5 ) throwback to a classic horror flick from the 80's or the underground ones from the 90's .

you actually see BLACK FOLKS in this , while its set in a traditional european village its a thing RARELY Seen in movies cant say anymore without spoiling the plot , but im gonna hold out till the uncut version

EDIT :

3/28/11

saw suckerpunch ..great flick , but pissed at the conclusion.....enjoyed everymoment of it hot chix perfect breasts, & cute asses ( exactly the way a JAB movie should be) my only complaint ☆☆☆☆WE WANT TO SEE THE STRIPDANCE ☆☆☆☆
i hope this is included in the UNCUT version

@ TENCHI : nothing in the history of cinema is WORSE THAN SHAMAFUCKIMYASS : THE LAST AIRBENDER ( altho twilight comes a close second);
suckerpunch had 1)a good script if you look at it from a psychological thriller POV 2)all the people casted could act 3)none of them had the DOWN SYNDROME look that kristen(little miss constapated on screen) stewart has in every role she picks 4) i humbly suggest you sit through this movie again EITHER high or Drunk because thats how i made it through YELLOW SUBMARINE and it made more sense that way afterwards 5) so what let it get killed by critics , they suck anyway, when was the last time a critic agreed with a great movie that wasnt a drama or foreign film

lol so my reasons arent enough ?
i gave u 4 good reasons . and ATLEAST IT WASNT AS PAINFUL AS SHITBENDER .or HIS FINAL MOVIE devil .
allah willing HOLLYWOOD WILL FINALLY KICK HIM OUT (im using the ALLAH line from the ROAD TO THE NORTHPOLE eps of family guy).

until u decide to watch SHITBENDER and then PUNCH back to back then decide which is worse dont complain about me liking it .

THE THING THAT PISSED ME OFF ABOUT PUNCH was that the end .. it should have made me feel better by a real victory instead of the way it did. and VOILENCE on women at any age is not good .

I don't plan to see suckerpunch so I can't say anything about it. ( other than how well it's doing). I'm sure the movie was good for Jag , but I'm going to agree with Tenchi since my friend watched it and told me he got dumber after seeing it.

Snow White
Lily Collins will play Snow White.

Playboy
The PTC is attacking Comcast/ NBC for asking models to sign a nudity clause for their

Green Lantern
A 4 minute preview of Green Lantern will be shown at Wondercon.

Well. i guess I should put in my 2 cents, also. But first let me say that I'm the type of person who accepts what he's going to see before he does. By that I mean that if I'm watching the 3 stooges, I know what I'm about to get.

Saw Little Red Riding Hood. Liked it. The story kept close to the original but gave enough unexpected twist to make it enjoyable. And I really liked the way they did the wolf ( the werewolf is my all time favorite monster ). The drab color of the village was contrasted by Red's cloak, the inclusion of other ethnic people, and the double dealing villagers made for a good movie. Not Oscar material, but i never expected it to be.

Suckerpunch. Told my son, before we went, that the graphics were going to be awesome but I'd probably get bored when they had the asylum scenes. I was right. but I did like how instead of showing the realtime abuse of the girls, they even went to fantasy mode for that. That was smart because otherwise the contrast between the two realities would have been too much of a stretch. But, all in all, I really did enjoy what I knew would be the good part of the movie.

PS. I totally agree, though, that they should have shown the dancing!!

@ space .. true on all counts for RRH .which is why i didnt get into the actual plot :)
when is 3 stooges coming out ?? and i hope it balances (half film , half documentry style... u know what they TRIED TO DO IN BEWITCHED but failed at)

maybe it will earn a oscar nod , but we all know its crappy boring films that get that type of attention Generally.

Jkr :
ok playboy on the rampage ? for what ... u kina clipped the comment man o_O .

Sorry, it's hard to type on my phone with a beer in one hand.

BasicalLy NBC will have a new show called Playboy. The actors in the show are required to sign a nudity clause in their contracts. PTC found out about it and are attacking the show and NBC for what they consider an attempt to "obliterate any remaining standards of broadcast decency".

Also Michael Moore is sueing the Weinstein Company for revenues owed for farenheit 911.

for cryin out loud ITS 9 in the morning O_O ( that friends episode where feebee throws a mans coffee into a fire and it flares up for a second XD ,it was an winter themed episode if i remember correctly)

no beer before lunch or a kitty snack to nibble on(ancient proverb)

watching a film called WAKEWOOD now ... looks interesting (feels like village of the damned a little).

recently saw PROWL (2010) even tho it was sched for theater release this year . decent horror flick with stuff you dont even see coming till the last minute (BRUCE PAYNE is in it , but he looks like freddy-rob englund anyway to me)

if chris nolan has a sense of humor he should cast bruce in BATMAN3 as something just for nod sake ^__^ how awesome would it be if bruce payne ( in character ) went up against bruce Wayne on screen ~ awesome sauce ~

back to PROWL , like it and it is a decent enough NON-shitty (read HOLLYWOOD REMAKE,IMPORT,RE-IMAGINING) cinema future cult classic .

maybe u remember there was a PG porn-esque tv show on fox , skins if i remember correctly where the son had a father who owned a porn company and fell for a normal girl ( as per great concepts FOX CANCELLED IT, but still has the rights for it, go figure )
doesnt suprise me tho , about NBC and nekkedness , but im officially arguing
Spoiler

I HOPE CAP has a R rating , i really do because to NOT do a CAP movie set in ww2 and not be like every other periodic movie would suck. PEOPLE DYING, MASS EXPLOSIONS , and LOTS of blood <<

Beer is good at any time.

Since JAB has been fighting piracy for years, I figure this would be interesting news for him.

By Jonathon Handal

Representatives from the DGA, AFTRA, IATSE and SAG joined Congressional lawmakers at a press conference today on Capitol Hill to discuss fighting copyright infringement and Internet theft. The unions released a statement decrying “Illegal downloading and streaming of the content made by our members” and stating that those practices “pose a devastating threat to the future of the hundreds of thousands of working men and women who make up the American entertainment industry.”
The release noted that those guilds and unions represent 300,000 creators, performers and craftspeople who create films, television programs and sound recordings. The Writers Guild was not part of the press conference, but both the WGA West and East have spoken out against piracy as well.
The union statement argued that “Professional content is a driving force behind the massive popularity of the Internet” and blasted “profiteers who knowingly traffic in content they have obtained illegally and played no role at all in creating or financing.”
The press conference did not appear to be connected to any new legislative efforts to address unauthorized downloading or streaming.

Monsters University
Pixar's sequel to Monsters Inc. Has a new release date ; June 21 2013. (two weeks before Dreameork's Turbo)

Reboot Ralph

Immortals

untitled M Night Shyamalan movie
Will Smith and son Jaden Smith are casted in an upcoming M Night Shyamalan movie. It's said it's a sci fi flick set a thousand years in the future. The son must navigate this futuristic earth with his father after their ship crashes.

Added Shyamalan, "The chance to make a scary, science-fiction film starring Jaden and Will is my dream project".
