Just watched hunger games with my sister--fuckin loved it. Not just for the story--but a nice, hot protagonist is fucking awesome--I finally feel centered after watching The Grey.

Avengers Review: A-

Without spoiling the story (if the billion of trailers didn't do that already), Avengers is the most accurate comicbook movie to date. Granted most of the lore is based on Marvel's ultimate universe so most comic geeks can debate this, but it has been as close to the comic as a movie ever got. Whether that's a good thing or bad is up to you.

Another thing that's never been done in a movie is how they transistioned three of the four movie so fluidly into this movie. With the exception of the Hulk, all three characters ( and their respective supporting cast from their movies) were consistent with their character that you can't believe this is one movie. It's been done before (freddie vs jason, A v P, etc) but not at this level.

As far as action, you get what you want. I'll leave it at that. I was happy with it and enjoyed it immensely.

what i didn't like was the Hulk. He's cool and somewhat likable in this movie, but his character isn't consistent to ed norton's character and you feel like it's a completely different ( arguably better, arguably not) Hulk. It doesn't help that he's so hestitant to let the monster out one moment and then all too willing the next. It would have been nice if Loki took control of Hulk in the helicarrier, and gave Hulk a reason to hate Loki but that didn't happen. What we get is a guy who pops up in the middle of New York going, " hey guys! Can i join your boy band?" joke intended.

The overall plot is simple. It seems like all of Marvel's villains have really dumb plots to take over the world (wait no one thought about sending a nuke into that hole?) but whatever. The cosmic cube, yet again, isn't use to its full potential.

Lastly, Where's Sharon Carter? Forget the fact Mockingbird isn't around. Did Sharon get completely ignore after her cameo in First Avengers? Did she die at the base? The helicarrier? On vacation? Where was she when SHIELD was down to a couple of agents?


More important than not, i'm glad Thanos isn't a gas cloud.
