I have been a fan for some time, i am working on a comic i would love to share but am not sure how to do it.
Can anyone give some pointers?

I think I can help! 
Let's break it into steps, shall we!
1) Scan your comic onto your computer as a .jpeg image.
2) Touch up and/or size your comic on a program like photoshop or painter. (this step is optional, but some sites are picky about big image sizes so it's good to find a fair viewing size)
3) Upload each image onto a image-hosting web page. I use http://photobucket.com
4) After each image is upload, it gets a link associated with it (again, photobucket is pretty good at showing you all this), start up a forum topic in the artist`s boards and include each link in the post!

what is it that you want to do. Miss Rosenrot has given a great outline for uploading your work. you can use image hosting sites like = http://www.imagefap.com/ or http://www.imagevenue.com/host.php and http://www.imagebam.com/.
