First off, the picture looks great. You put an insane amount of detail work into this. The sarcophagus lid is ridiculously detailed. I like the overall look of it. It really seems to lead you into a story, which is what all great covers should do. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for a plot.
As far as Mummies go, I really REALLY enjoyed the first Mummy movie. I loved all the pulp action stuff. It was action without violence or tons of explosions and that's something you rarely ever see. It was an excellent movie. I enjoyed the second one, for a good bit of it. The CGI Scorpion Rock was terrible and that would have been so much better if they just woulda had the Rock come out instead of that thing. I only barely remember the third one, it must have been pretty forgettable.
I'm glad you liked the mummy flicks too!! I know a lot of people are on the fence or against the second movie but I really enjoyed most aspects from the film. I didn't even mind the child acting on the ridiculous plots. I hate CGI though, it absolutely ruined the Star Wars prequels for me. It just sucks when filmmakers try to film something that's not there. Puppet Jabba will always have more depth and character than CGI Watto, at least for me. In the mummy films there was a lot of CGI but it didn't complete detract from the movie experience... at least until the mummy 3...

Very nice pic. Love all the detail. And I love the first 2 Mummy movies (haven't seen the third). Very curious to see what you have in store for a comic since your art and movie inspirations are certainly right up my alley. Did you copy actual hieroglyphs or did you make them up (in which case they look very convincing).
Avoid the third!!

CGI Dragons, Yeti who like Football, and ancient Chinese legends are not for mummy flicks

I'm glad you like my art!! as for the hieroglyphs, some are made up, others are from a guide to eygptian farming techniques!

Woman carries water on her head, this bird does this, fields are like this and so on and so on. I'm glad you like it!!
Thanks again everyone for the positive response!! I'll have to get to work on some pages!!
