Moving along with Issue #5 of Fusion, here's pages 6-10 and a crash-course introduction of The Fabulous Five (granted the intro is in Savunn's head). For those wondering about the different appearances of Flamer, he actually has three forms. His regular human form (not shown yet), his "stand-by" power mode (where he can hover, as seen on page 7), and his full-power mode (where he can maneuver and shoot fireballs, as seen on page 8). I should've added a transition panel between pages 6 and 7 to show Flamer emerging from his fireball; I might make this change at some point in the future when I have a bit of time to rearrange the page to add a panel, but for now the comic's unfortunately left with a too-abrupt transition.

Looks nice. The smoke effect is similar to your work with Libertywoman.

Wait what's XpletIve doing there?

Great story so far, Sharp, but oopsie pointed out what I was gonna say about the giant robot looking like Bender. Looking forward to seeing all those heroes kick his shiny metal ass!

Moving along, here's the next 6 pages in Fusion #5. Page 16 won't go live over on DrunkDuck until Tuesday, so my Jab family gets an advance look. For those mentioning the likeness of the robot to Bender, that was coincidental (I never watched Futurama, although I do know the character)--I simply wanted to draw a retro-style robot and keep it very simple so I could draw it in a matter of minutes. (I probably never spent more than 5-10 minutes on pencils for the robot.) After inking it the first time, I looked at it and realized it looked like Bender. Also, for anyone wondering about the pink glow around Sonic and Dr. Electric in a few panels . . . that's from Psy-Girl telekinetically lifting Sonic and putting a telekinetic forcefield around Dr. Electric to protect him from the gas Fusion mentioned in the robot. Only 9 pages to go in this issue, so you folks will get two more updates until it's completed. I'm already about halfway through initial scipting for Issue #6, and it's got a pretty good opening and further develops a few plot points from Issues 4 and 5. Anyway, here's pages 11-16 of Fusion #5.

Nice story here and thanks for the exclusive.

The only thing i will say is that the baddies invested too much in this fail bot. Secondary defenses? Please.. Only good guys think defensively.

Love the Fleischer inspired robot! I also love how the heroes are actually working together so seamlessly! All in all just a great addition to the Fusion adventures!

Great work, Sharpie. While some superheroes would have bashed at that big mudder until it was scrap metal, it's refreshing to see a group that uses its brains to win a fight.

But you see, you can use your brains when you have enough heroes to provide you with options. If it were just Fusion fighting this " secondary defense" robot, blasting it out of solar system would be the best option.

Moving along, here's the next 4 pages of Fusion #5. Only 5 pages to go and this issue is done (so next update here will be the end of Issue #5). Initial scripting is completed on Issue #6 (21 pages unless anything changes between now and actual page production). For those wondering why X-Pletive gets so offended in this update and goes Biblical on the guy, check out this page from "Crossoverkill" (http://www.drunkduck...erkill/5312158/). Anyway, here's pages 17-20 of Fusion #5. (Page 20 won't go up at Drunkduck until the 6th, so please don't repost anywhere until after March 6.)

Great pages and GREAT X-planation of a very controversial Bible verse by X-pletive! If only you could explain it like that to the Religious Right.

I'm not verse in the bible at all, so I'll have to just... Move on.

Wait, we can repost these pages?
