Thought I'd share this one with everyone. The Carl's Jr. restaurant on the Cal State Fullerton campus is having a contest: draw a Halloween costume on the "Happy Star" to win tickets to Knott's Scary Farm. Well, I couldn't resist. Here's my entry....

Why just a Double-double when the secret menu 3x3 is available? LOL
I'm trying not to dwell on it, but frankly, the winners' artwork looked like crap. Nowhere near the level of detail, for one thing, and most of them just looked like half-assed efforts (polka-dot clown suit, etc). The only one that I think deserved to be in the winners was an anime-styled one. Maybe the judges just had an anti-zombie bias? Hey, man, zombiesare were people, too...

Been a while since I last put anything up here, so here's another bit of artwork from me.
I created this image as the logo for a redesign of my web site. The background is an image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, and the planets and moon were created in GIMP, thanks in no small measure to the tutorial provided at http://mygimptutoria...planet-tutorial
I've also put this piece up on my deviantArt account, which I update even less frequently than this thread. It's up at http://jharlan.devia...anets-190341725

Hard to believe it's been a whole year since I posted anything here, but, well, necrothread!
It took almost two years, but my trademark registration for my comic company's name and logo finally went through, so I can slap that spiffy "circle-R" on it now.
To celebrate, I opened up a store on CafePress; it's linked from my comic company's "store" page if you want to take a look. So far, the only stuff up there is all stuff with the above logo on it, but I'll be adding some new items in the near future. To that end, I'm working on pinups of all my characters. First up: Versipellis, the resident shapeshifter on my team, The Protectorate.
It still needs some work (I'm going to have to completely re-do the clawed forearm, since it makes it look like the upper arm's too long, for starters), but it's coming along pretty well so far... I've got a dozen new designs planned, and hope to have at least this image and perhaps one other up by Sunday.
