Just wondering if it was possible... or simple enough to set up PayPal as a payment method. I use paypal all the time as it is linked directly to my Bank account, and would be much easier for me to buy subscriptions as well.

Thoughts?

PayPal has a policy against adult pay sites. So the answer would probably be no.

Theman is correct. In fact, any hint the transaction (or your account) is doing an adult transaction results in a temporary ban by paypal.

What a farce. PayPal would only benifit from such things as this. They already charge fees for sending money. They could make millions just by putting their business in the the 90% of what the Internet is made of... Which is adult content.
Especially in today's generation, paypal needs to keep up with the times damnit!

Thanks for the replies :)

Actually they'd save themselves from alot of potential lawsuits including transactions involving prostitution, sex trafficking, etc. Also, since paypal doesn't necessarily require you to be 18 to have an account (you just need a bank account and email), it makes it difficult for an adult site to verify your age.

And I believe the guy who created it is of christian faith, which could explain alot.

Well that all does make sense then. They could pretty easily impliment an age verification system for certain accounts. But your right it won't change the fact that you can easily pay for just about anything through it.

JKR is correct except their ban is not temporary.. it is permanent and without warning. And if you had funds in your paypal account when you're banned, say goodbye to them. I think you can however get a Paypal debit card and use that to signup. Not sure if their same rules against adult content apply to usage of their debit card though. Maybe someone could look into that and let us know?

Actually they gave my letterer Grafeletter a 90 day ban in August, so I guess they do both a temporary and permament ban. I understand that they've given perma bans on some people on this site.

As for age verification and paypal debits, adultdvdempire accepts paypal so either thepenalty has lessen enough for them to risk it or the pp debit works for adult sites as webs mentioned.
