What's great about the clip is just that small detail – with few exceptions, the creatures themselves are not shown in great detail or given screen time – giving fans a sense that the new film will emphasize suspense over shock and emotion over gore. That said, Rodriguez later revealed that there were virtually no kills they didn't bring to life, so to speak, and that he and director Antal were fully exploiting the film's expected R rating, although he suggested some of their efforts might be pared down for the theatrical cut and preserved for a future unrated DVD and Blu-ray release.

In terms of the q&a, Rodriguez took lots of questions about the film from the audience, explaining first and foremost that he wanted the film to be a true sequel to Schwarzenegger's 1987 original, and not merely some spin-off or reimagining that was watered down by the other Predator-related movies.

I hope they don't give it a PG-13 rating... why clean up for kids? The movie would not be the same without the bloody mess. At least they got better actors and Rob Rodriguez producing it. I thought I saw a four-legged version of a Predator too, maybe it was a attack dog type. <_<

AVP sucked big time, I agree. I thought the sequel was way better cuz it seemed like an homage to both Predator and Alien movies.

BTW, did anybody played the game AvP? I was wondering if the MP was any good?

I can honestly say this time around... Fuck the kids, this movie was made for those who love Predator and the violence within!!! Exploding heads, razor sharp nets, big ass laser blasts in chests, you name it it should be in there!!! I still have fond memories of my dad taking me and Hatter to see the original Predator in the theater and I instantly fell in love!!! Yeah I'm a different kind of gal but hey to each their own!!! While part 2 wasn't really that bad as far as sequels go, blood, gore, nice additions to the Predator canon, I just hope this lives up to the legacy deserving of the Predator!!!

Predator is my thing. It's my favorite movie of all time, bar-fucking-none. The 2nd one was really good cause' it was anchored by a great actor like Danny Glover, and the 2 AvP's sucked worse than Cancer of the Dickhole. The first one cause' the acting sucked, and the suits were so muscular that they had to speed up some of the shots to make it look like the Preds could actually move, and the 2nd was just tastlessly gory, and over the top

Though there's still things that I'm on the fence about with this movie (Predator Dogs, Predator Birds, and Danny Trejo) as it gets closer and closer, I'm gettin' a little more fired up

Hawkins: Billy. Billy! The other day, I was going down on my girlfriend, I said to her, "Jeez you got a big pussy. Jeez you got a big pussy." She said, "Why did you say that twice?" I said, "I didn't."
[Billy stares blankly]
Hawkins: See, cuz of the echo.

Actually remember old adult comics like that! had some funny shit in 'em

The old Predator Comics? THEY RULE...The first four issues delt with a character potraited as Dutch's(Arnold)older brother, and his search for him after dissapearing post-1st movie...This is the funniest panel of the 4 issue series

This has so much going for it, and Robert can do so much with people you wouldn't expect, so Topher Grace might actually be good in this, or he gets killed early. Look for Walton Goggins to be the break out star from this, he is so under rated as an actor.

Hey Harley, kicked that pumped into overdrive TURN THIS SHIT UP LOAD!

Coming from an avid movie watcher am sceptical about this movie...how many sequals are better then the originals? Very few...I can name 2, aliens and daywatch

I have a hard time comparing Alien and Aliens. Two very, very different movies, with the first catering to the suspense crowd, and the sequal to the action crowd. Two great movies
