Scientist solidified their theoretical ponderings today. Whether or not you believe them is up to you. However, the real culprit to the dinosaur's demise was the fact that they ate themselves to death. I say it's a fact because the evidence is there for you to see, the huge bones of dinosaurs, indicating that they grew to a massive size. Each of these mammoths ate tons of food in a single day. Plants could not grow fast enough to meet the demand of these giant herbivorous. Eventually, they ate everything and died off. Those other dinosaurs that fed off of these bigger ones started to die off too. A chain reaction of sorts occurred, hence: the destruction of the dinosaurs. They were basically too stupid to survive.

However, if you want to indulge in the fantasy of these so called scientist. Be my guest. Here is the link.

I only accept three possibilities as to where the dinosaurs went:

1)Dinosaurs never existed, those are fake fossils planted by God to test our faith! Because...y'know, God is very jealous, and he tries to trick people into not believing in him so that he can catch them not believing in him.

2)A massive comet passed the Earth 65 millions years ago, when most dinosaurs of the time were part of the Heaven's Gate cult, and as a result they committed mass-suicide in an attempt to ride the comet with their spirits for some silly reason or another.

3)Aliens.

Take THAT, Discovery Channel!

We don't know much about the vegetation of the time though, do we? Couldn't have the plants been much larger as well? Dinosaurs were around for millions of years, a lot longer than we've been around so I find it hard to believe that they simply overwhelmed the ecology. Something drastic must have changed. Maybe they discovered porn and fapped themselves to death.

They gradually grew bigger and bigger. It wasn't something that was overnight. Eventually, they were too big and too many of them that they did end up eating everything. Those larger dinosaurs must have only been around for the last part of the Jurasic age.

I am not the originator of this idea. However, I do tend to agree with things that make sense.

Quote

2. THE LATER REPTILIAN AGE

120,000,000 years ago a new phase of the reptilian age began. The great event of this period was the evolution and decline of the dinosaurs. Land-animal life reached its greatest development, in point of size, and had virtually perished from the face of the earth by the end of this age. The dinosaurs evolved in all sizes from a species less than two feet long up to the huge noncarnivorous dinosaurs, seventy-five feet long, that have never since been equaled in bulk by any living creature.

The largest of the dinosaurs originated in western North America. These monstrous reptiles are buried throughout the Rocky Mountain regions, along the whole of the Atlantic coast of North America, over western Europe, South Africa, and India, but not in Australia.

These massive creatures became less active and strong as they grew larger and larger; but they required such an enormous amount of food and the land was so overrun by them that they literally starved to death and became extinct--they lacked the intelligence to cope with the situation.

Funny. When I was a kid, this is what I thought. Now, in light of current events, it makes even more sense.

The dinos grew to enormous size, and the herbivores ate vegetation, which we all know is high in fiber. This led to massive gas by these massive creatures, which led to a build up of methane and other carbon gases, which led to global warming, which triggered natural catastrophes that led to mass extinctions.

So the next time you laugh when someone farts, realize that that expulsion of gas could very well be the trigger to set off mass extinction.

Well.. I guess you can look at it as a good metaphor for the US economy. The US consumption for money and power has grown to a point where it consumes more (money and power) than it earns. Not sure if it'll have the same fate.. but it's not looking good for the ol' US of A.

True, everything must be done in moderation. Something the dinosaurs could grasp with their pea-sized brains. However, the same cannot be said about us. We actually do have brains that are substantially bigger, so we have to think things through and solve our problems. Everything is solvable. Nothing is ever broken.

Well we're in the business of entertainment so I won't get too political.

I think some Americans just don't want to change. They're too willing to do it wrong and are too stubborn to do it right. And the ones that are smart or rich are too willing to exploit it and too stubborn to fix it. I'm not worried that it's not being fixed in America, but this trend of over-consumption is spreading.
