Thanks Webs. I'm totally cool if Copyof or EB or Nikko comes past the official deadline and schools me. I can't speak for Anangel and Ultrerax but I think the more entries the more fun it is and we're doing this for fun... right? As for the prizes, it definitely adds to the enjoyment of competing... when something is on the line, you really find a way to dig deep and challenge yourself.

I think it fair that if Ultrerax and Anangel felt rushed by the deadline they can go back and tighten things up and repost.

Ultrarax: I love the television/scan field effect you used. It really sells the piece. Poor girl. Those aliens have no manners... don't they know how to take turns?

Anangel: You really nailed Jab's style well. Natalie doesn't get enough play in Jab's comics. Its good to see her get some fan appreciation.

JKR: I'm not sure what you have in mind if you want to do a quick drawing of "Hit Girl" from Kick Ass for me... I'd be very very happy!

Oh my god! Gemlord. Its been a while since I've seen a drawing that made me laugh so much. That is pure awesome. I got the Bat Boy joke immediately. That is some hilarious shit right there.

On a personal note, I most likely won't be able to participate in this one. I'm simply too busy with other stuff. If I can make the time, I'll try to crank something out, but if that happens (and its doubtful), it will be squeaking in just under the deadline.

Just wanted to show those who've been keeping on eye on the contest that I've been working hard on my entry. I didn't get time to draw yesterday due to being very sick, however I feel a lot better today and will keep working on this picture with purpose!!! For now enjoy what little there is, it's still very much in a preliminary stage so changes can, and more than likely will, be made. Oh and for the record, this is Bigfoot's long lost, extremely rare cousin... Bigdick!!!

Gemlord's got the right idea of the kind of entry we're wanting. Although Jab universe does not necessarily mean established main Jab characters. Remember this is the Jabloid shown in Farm Lessons 15 and 16 and is read all throughout Jabville. Try to create your own characters and link them in some way to the characters or locations that encompass all the comics. Jab said in the wiki that the Jabloid is owned by the Jab Porn Network. Maybe that will spark some ideas. Check this site out for the kind of magazine this is.

I don't believe there is a poll for this, so right now Vlterax's entry is the only one I could use, and possibly bliss's entry. A suggestion to Sinope may be to bar out the girl's eyes or something and make her anonymous, but check with webmaster, it may be fine. Anangel, you may want to replace your entry.

Maybe someone can do a pic of Pedro the pervert Janitor helping students cheat for sexual favours. Or maybe James the delivery guy delivering more than just a package to lonely housewives, for an example of some kind of linkage, something relating. Or the Horny Squirrel stealing peoples belongings.

Huh I don't understand the rules no more Not a single cent of this was mentioned in the rules posted by Webbs are we to refrain from using Jab characters. I don't understand can someone clarify what in the heckadoodle we are doing here?

Wow. This deadline extension really got this contest moving! Gemlord. I love it. The freaky deaky look on the bat boys face is priceless. Make sure you keep that when you do your final inks and colors. It really sells the drawing! EB, that drawing is fantastic coming along in full EB glory. I can't wait to see it complete. I think the theme fits very well with Rita Mae and Farm Lessons (I'm assuming that's her).

I would really hate to black out Julia's eyes. I kind of like how the expressions turned out. I drew the picture as I understood the rules so if it doesn't comply... consider the drawing a freebie. I dunno. Could Webs maybe give us a ruling? It may be a little late for us early entrants but maybe a clarification on this will assist in those working on some WIP's.

Sinope, and others... don't change anything. There isn't anything in the rules posted by Webs that states otherwise. JKR has even acknowledged this. There just seems to be a bit of confusion running around and with the deadline less than a week and a half away there isn't much time to do anything else anyways.

Okay, I see what's wrong here. Darkmage's use of grammar was a little confusing, so I think I can clarify:

What he's trying to say is that although this is a Jab-universe based contest, feel free (and in fact, you are encouraged) to use characters or individuals that aren't established Jab characters. He's not saying that you SHOULDN'T be using Jab characters, in fact he goes on to suggest a handful of Jab characters in crazy situations. He's just saying, don't necessarily stick to the most famous or favourite characters, feel free to branch out and find somebody obscure. And as far as Sinope's pic, I think he was merely giving a suggestion of how you could incorporate a non-canon character by possibly anonymizing the girl in the picture so that she wasn't necessarily a known character. I'd actually say that if you were going to do that, you could just change her hair colour completely and not have to cover up any of your drawing. Perhaps a bubblegum pink?

And thanks, Sinope, I'm in the midst of inking now, in fact, and I'm gonna make his face look as much like the picture as I can.
