I'm also looking forward to seeing Disney's Beauty and the Beast in 3D, but since it got pulled back from the February theatrical release it's a ways off yet.

I'm not one to deal with the racial card, I'm already in a mixed relationship and one of my old best friends was driven out of my hometown because of her color. More than anything, I'm just glad to see hand-drawn back and hope it will pave the way for more to come, whatever it takes.
And maybe more than anything, I miss the fun and innocence I held back when I first fell in love with the DAC's, even before they hit the "renaissance" back in the late 80's/early 90's. I love how movies have the power to take you back to that.

As for Disney's tPatF, part of the plot involves
Nothing wrong with wanting to see some mixed relationships in my opinion.

i think naveen is voiced by the sexy and damn orgasmic Wandicimo

ps. Bruno Campos is the voice of Prince Naveen. Carlos Alazraqui voices Wandicimo (Juandissimo)

Astro Boy . . . Yeah, probably a rental for me later on when I'm in the mood; to be honest I haven't even bothered watching the Speed Racer live action movie yet (even though I've been semi-curious to see how they adapted an old-school anime into something modern). And as for old-school anime, I'm probably more of a Prince Planet fan anyway. Yay, violence.
I almost forgot about How to Train Your Dragon. I've heard the first test screening was disappointing and that the Dreamworks guys pushed back the release date out of being too nervous over the holiday competition, but I really like the character designs and I'm interested to see what Chris Sanders has been up to.
I'd almost forgotten about the new Alice in Wonderland. And even if Depp isn't playing Sparrow . . . well, it's still Depp, right?
[note to Lib]: Flight of the Navigator is one of my all time favorite movies.
I've been a bit worried about Rapunzel ever since I learned that Glen Keane was taken off of his directorial debut, but at least he's still heavily involved with the project. And it's disappointing to learn that they're probably going the more typical/generic CG route as opposed to the painterly approach he initially wanted to go for. Then again, he was forced to make this CG to begin with. At least they're going for a more traditional fairy tale story instead of the irreverent parody Shrek wanna-be.
Speaking of Shrek 4-whatever it's called . . . meh. I enjoyed the first one a lot and absolutely loved the second one. But what happened to part three? It had some interesting concepts but was slow, boring, and even downright depressing. I'm not really looking forward to revisiting the franchise, but maybe they'll surprise me.
Wow, I didn't even realize they're remaking Clash of the Titans.
Oh yeah, and I'm really looking forward to Toy Story 3. I've heard so many people freak out over Andy growing up along with them, lol. It looks like they'll be using a lot of abandoned concepts from the first two movies. It was pretty cool to watch the originals in 3D at the theater a few weeks back actually.

speed racer , really ? babe it was awesome , they didnt ruin the story (wonders if SR had a story at all) the didnt destroy the origin like they did our beloved 3 inch high blond, tink.
clash : look we all know u are dying to see sam with his shirt off in the flick. just dont let Johnneh find out .
Dragon : hmmmm , anyone here read "hearts blood" it was the same concept , classic book i heard about in CBS storytime (or what ever that cartoon was back in the 90's where they took kids books and made em 30 minute cartoons).
Shrek poops 4th : actually bottom line , no one cares , but 1 and 2 were amazing , apparently the reality of THE CHILD FACTOR in a film franchise = DEATH didnt get to the head honchos' .
gaddamn , now i cant remember what series they did children with , and i aint talking about Potc cus that dont count , it was essential to the story [[ after credits ]]
Star Trek (spock no kirk =] ) part 2
Golden compas part 2
Narnia 2 (the prince saga does not count , it was aweful , just aweful )
and the series of unfortunate events ...dude where are these sequels >__>

Yeah, I'm sure most of you know that Disney's working on another Pirates movie. Apparently Elizabeth and Will's part of the story is over and they're focusing on a new arc, which is just as well, the story got too muddy and complicated by the end there. Rumor has it though that they're gonna phase out Sparrow and introduce a new main character to continue the franchise; Depp has expressed a loss of interest in continuing the films due to Dick Cook's "resignment."
I do have a rip of Speed Racer around here somewhere; really I think the main thing was that I wasn't in the mood for sitting down to watch a movie for quite a while, been busy and preoccupied. I've even got a stack of DVD's I've bought this past year but have yet to unwrap!
Tink - the movie was a lot better than I thought it would be actually. Not awesome or anything, but cute at least. Definitely not the traffic accident I was expecting. I've heard the second one is a lot better, but haven't popped it in yet. I do sorta wish they went for the Fairy Egg book with that set of characters, even if that's still a different reality than Barrie's play or even Disney's own version of Peter Pan.
I think it was a lot more than just introducing the kids in Shrek the Third; I actually kinda liked Shrek being all weirded out at the prospect of being a dad. They could have done a much better job on Arthur and the whole college parody thing, and so much more with the fairy tale princesses. A lot of great voice talent there (I love the SNL ladies) but it felt like a total waste. Hell, they couldn't even make an interesting Merlin out of Eric Idle! Maybe the most disappointing part for me was that Prince Charming made for a weak villain on his own. The movie's so forgettable that I can't even remember the climax, and that's saying a lot seeing how much I love animated movies (even bad ones).
The CBS Storybook thing? I used to watch that (wow I feel old, lol) but don't remember that particular episode or the book. Ever see Flight of Dragons? Used to love that (yay, John Ritter), but dammit, still not on DVD (I tried taping that off TV back in the day but ran out of space). But anyway, I've always liked dragons and the concepts behind them.
And hey, what about 9? Has anyone seen it? I've been wanting to but haven't gotten around to it yet (will probably have to wait for DVD now). I thought the designs looked pretty cool but don't know much else about it.

Help
