And now we start the next Volume

So it once again, as in one prior ocassion, the new thread coincides with a multinational holiday:
11/11 - It's Veterans/Armistice/Remembrance Day, the date in which we salute Our Brave Lads™ (and brave gals, ever more often nowadays) who in the past went and in the present still go out to stand for Flag and Country. Lest we forget, lest we forget...

Of course, we would vastly prefer that the following were the most "action" they ever encountered I would not begrudge it one bit.

No, I would not mind at all if it involved these sorts of techniques for recruiting...

(too bad she did USAF... if it were USArmy the MOTHER would be also eligible to join! )

...and training that reinforces such close comradeship...

(Editorial comment: That policy has got to go; one XO I served with was rumored to have once said in his own endearingly obsolete manner: "if I have to kick out every queer and dyke in the unit, I won't be able to deploy!")

...or this level of commitment to taking care of those left behind

... Semper Fi indeed... I've heard it's like family but is this taking that a bit too seriously?

When it comes to supporting the troops, Cheo, there's no one up there with you. The USO should use your cartoons both for troop morale and for getting people here to volunteer.

Speaking of morale, Sarge could get me to stand at attention in no time, but even better when she's breaking in the new recruits with her tough love. At least this young piece of fresh meat seems to appreciate her hardcore training, and the young lady above seems most happy to observe and practice too. That's inspiring.

The recruiters seem to be doing a fantastic job, though I can see why they really want to get that cute, skinny girl in their service. Heck, the teen seems to enjoy both the lap ride and the fact that her mother's getting "convinced". I bet Mom will be going back to the recruiters for lots of follow up and hand (and other) holding even after her baby is away.

By the way, the poster on right gave me a good chuckle too.

Finally those two girls are very lovely and terrifically cheerful as they keep their spirits up (along with something else). The mothers are pretty fine themselves, and the blonde's smirk makes me suspect that she'll also be helping to "comfort" the girls too.

Semi-recurring character retrospective -- and a new one, of course...


It says so right there on top: the New and some of the Old. So here I am, having drawn a new toon featuring a semi-recurring character, and I realize a lot of her past history may not be known to all, so let us do a very quick recap.


The character was one of my earliest online illustrations, back when I only posted to usenet's alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.cartoons.original-art group. You can see the "early Cheo" style and the rudimentary post-prod in this copy (alas the original source file is long gone):


Doctor Yolanda Perez, noted (notorious?) sex-medicine expert. She of course not only lets me get into medical or scientific scenarios but as is plain to see also gives me another venue for my own propensity for drawing cute black girls.


Since I only draw her very ocassionally she can't be really said to be consistently "on model" but I do call back on her every so often. It was in this one that I brought up how she really LOVES her line of work... and tackling the really unusual cases... maybe a bit TOO much :



And in her latter two appearances we see her involved in some really leading edge research, out at the far fringes of science. Or, the near fringes of quackery, FWIW!


(We KNOW the intentions of the two apes behind the door, and we KNOW they achieve them, don't we?)


So having seen some of her professional career, here once again, with a new installment, is our distinguished (and hot) woman of science, in a scenario that is the diametrical opposite of her first ever appearace!

So, the Solstice has passed and the calendar tells us of the coming of the Yuletide, so let's spread some cheer on the ocassion of the holidays! There will be Xmas posts and New Year's posts, of course, but let us start off with a very unusual celebration, you might indeed say, an out-of-this world experience , looking ahead to a time in the far future when we may encounter other traditions...
