And now we start the next Volume
So it once again, as in one prior ocassion, the new thread coincides with a multinational holiday:
11/11 - It's Veterans/Armistice/Remembrance Day, the date in which we salute Our Brave Lads (and brave gals, ever more often nowadays) who in the past went and in the present still go out to stand for Flag and Country. Lest we forget, lest we forget...
Of course, we would vastly prefer that the following were the most "action" they ever encountered
No, I would not mind at all if it involved these sorts of techniques for recruiting...

(too bad she did USAF... if it were USArmy the MOTHER would be also eligible to join!
...and training that reinforces such close comradeship...

(Editorial comment: That policy has got to go; one XO I served with was rumored to have once said in his own endearingly obsolete manner: "if I have to kick out every queer and dyke in the unit, I won't be able to deploy!")
...or this level of commitment to taking care of those left behind

... Semper Fi indeed... I've heard it's like family but is this taking that a bit too seriously?
