Just a note for all those colorists out there... I tried tried subtractive method for the colors to give it a more smoother look on the skin. The process went extremely quickly and I think the results look pretty good.
1] I flat filled the image with the natural skin color and then I duplicated the same layer and adjusted that color to match the deepest shadow (darkened and a little desaturated). I laid it on top as a shadow layer (so that she looked dark).
2] I then used the soft eraser in Sketchpad Pro 2010 and erased parts of the shadow layer bit by bit. It was fun watching the drawing pop out as I did this and it feels like a more natural way of coloring for an artist who does thing by look and feel and not by technique.
3] I then used the airbrush tool and sprayed a very very light coat of white at the high points and light pink here and there.
4] Using a thick pencil, I traced around the leading highlight edges with a light saturated skin tone.

Thanks FairySlayer and welcome to Jabforums! I seem to remember your kind comments at the other sites. This one is not Little Lorna however, they all seem to look the same... just different hair. I'll have to work on giving my girls some different characteristics in their facial features... or not.

As far as your gals looking the same, you may want to try to change up the nose a little bit. Different noses can drastically change the look of the character. Just a suggestion.

If you want to make a change to their facial features you could just add a nice load of puppy spunk to the chin, puts a whole new spin on a pic. Oh look, she even got some in her hair.
