Niikko, in my opinion, I think you should not let this discussion sway your decision to enter contests or not.

The artists section of the forums is about showcasing and seeing our own and each other's art. You should not have to apologize for the quality of your work.

I was wondering if there is a way to have multiple voting or... vote for as many as you like. This way, if you really want to vote for one work, you can cast just one vote. If there are three that you like, you can vote for all three. If you like them all... hell, vote for all twelve. Nikko's work is very good and does warrant a good percentage of the voting however I do agree that it is discouraging when the rest only get 2%-3%. Just to satisfy our fragile egos is it possible that the voters can cast votes for as many as they would like?

Hmmm... or maybe a preference-vote kind of thing -- allow the person to "rank" up to N number of the contestants in 1st through Nth choice, and assign a tally value to the order of choice (I use that in an award evaluation I work with).

In any case winning streaks may be inevitable; sometimes someone just gets a "hot hand" and can't fail to score. Specially if it's something the interested audience votes on.

Hey LIB, just letting you know you're doing way better than Gemlord, Karmagik, Erikon, and FriedBrain combined. That's a big shocker considering how I feel about their entry (opinion-wise). Again, voters pick what they like.
