October? Wow... I think I'll take a nap for a few... hey waitaminute! I haven't even touched this since so I hope everyone is doing a little better than I am. Its been pretty quiet around here... hopefully with the sound of graphite to paper (or stylus to tablet, or mouse to desk).

Oh and Bliss... the contest topic has been changed to "Dell computers customer service troubleshooting flowcharts"... so you better scrap whatever you are doing and start drawing up some flow charts... I know this will push the outer boundries of your incredible artistic skill but I know you can make the sexiest (and comprehensively technical) flowchart ever!

You mean we have to wait a month to see the rest? Damn you! I better erase what I got and start over because I don't think it'll compete.

Try a digital camera. You may have to get a tripod and light it properly but that works too.

I know you mentioned that you tried scanning in sections, but I do that a lot and piece it together in Photoshop. The key seems to be to get a big hardback book and place it on the pic, instead of closing the lid. Then those sections where the book are pressing on it will be pressed firmly flat on the glass for scanning. Then you can just crop out the areas that aren't pressed flat and start to jigsaw it together. You know, just a suggestion if your tripod and camera thing doesn't work out for ya.
