I just saw Transformers 2, it is worth the money, well worth it. I very highly suggest you see it in a theater before the end of the summer. Damn it was good, much better then I had expected. I will see it again.
Notable Previews: The Last Airbender, to bad I have to wait another year to see it.
9, Tim Burtons next movie. It looks awsome.
I need to sleep now :)

Roger Ebert, who can miss sometimes with regards to the geek audience, suggested one put on bad music and have a child bang pots and pans as a way to save money vs seeing this film. I'm glad to hear a jabber liked it.

Critics are useless in my opinion. The best gauge on whether you'd like a film is your friends. They're usually the ones who enjoy what you do so they have a better idea on if you'd like a film. Otherwise opinions vary so greatly a critics opinion is just that.

I would love to see the movie, but i live in the middle of a frakking high-altitude mountain forest. in fact, it takes me 1:30 hours to go to the nearest Wal-Mart.

I did the numbers, and if i wanted to see it in IMAX, i would have to spend 200 USD for it.

When the critics call Slumdog Millionaire a better movie than The Dark Knight.. they completely lost my faith in them.

Or fail to even nominate it. (Funny you mention TDK--Had some friends over last night and watched it again.) I'll probably see Transformers next week. As long as it's fun, I should be happy.

Completely agree Slumdog was not all that the media made it out to be. Yes it was a feel good movie, but look at its part seperately and it wasn't anything new or really original, my favorite rags to riches story is "Brewsters Millions."

As to Roger Ebert, yes there was times during Trans 2 when I wish they would lower the SFX just so you could hear dialog.

It was a very good movie, but no one person blew my mind acting wise. I can give a more indepth review but I dont like telling people how I think they should feel about a movie, I like them to have their own opinion.

BTW, Megan Fox leaning over the engine of a camaro will quickly be replaced by Megan Fox airbrushing a motorcycle, I swear in imax you will be able to see the stubble of that bikini wax.

I couldnt live in Michael Bays world, every girl is a Megan Fox clone with hair and eye color differences. Come on Bay, cant you throw a fat chick my way?

And if I had to choose between the 2 to watch, I would always go with Dark Knight.

I'm just saying.

Why are movies which have no ability to get people in the theaters (even if you promote the shit out of them) considered for this 'best movie' title? Isn't the purpose of a movie is to get them into the damn theater? Isn't that why 'straight to DVD' movies aren't considered for this? The Dark Knight saved Hollywood's summer and they didn't even get a nod? Come on!!

Because the Academy is biased to foreign drama films.

In other words, EPIC FAIL.

Truly my sentiments exactly. I've always thought the same way. A great movie is determined on it's ability to suspend your belief, take you into another world, let you forget your problems and just lose yourself for a few hours. Not to mention it's ability to make some crazy amounts of cash for an industry that does little more than complain nowadays!!!

Ebert also gave a bad review to Star Trek. I think that says it all right there.

bliss you know as well as i do , those critics get paid to suck hollywoods cock ..
why do u think drama films get more stars and rave reviews in the movie sections of local papers ?

the movie was fucked up beyond hope XD ( i think it was because Rob Ocri was high when he wrote the script )
i was damn near climax when that bedroom opened up :) you know what scene i mean XD
AND IM GLAD THE JOES ARE BACK (tyrese and josh aka DUKE AND ROADBLOCK)
