I'm struggling to find the words here, as I received terrible news this morning . . .

One of our forum members and good friends, Doc Army, has passed away.

I'd been concerned by his disappearance for quite some time, hoping it was just another case of someone simply taking a break from being online. I'm . . . still in shock. He was such a bright, humorous guy, and far too young for this to have happened. I know that many of us used to have such a great time talking to him in chat and he was a lot of fun in the forum too. He'll be greatly missed.

I'll leave this with the last line he wrote in his dA journal, as it somehow seems fitting . . .

"So be cool mein friends and save the anger for the important things. life's too short"

Doc Army simply crossed this bridge of life a lot sooner than most of us would have wished. The point is that he has crossed. He now faces a whole host of new challenges that will shape and mold him into a better version of himself. I for one, look forward to the day I could embrace my friend Doc Army and truly know his heart. However, not just yet. Despite the allures of a better world, there is still much that I must do here and now. For as Doc Army said life's too short and you only pass through here once.

JAB out :)

I just heard about this tonight from Jomo and E. It really is a terrible shock to lose one of our own so unexpectedly. I always liked Doc. He was a cool dude and fun to chat with. Nevermind the fact that he was so creative and talented.

Rest in peace, buddy. I'll catch you later. :)

I didn't know Doc as well as some of the others around here, but what little time we shared in chat and on the forum will be times I will always remember. It's hard to find words to describe how I saw him especially since I'm crying while typing this but he was a sweet soul who was always funny, supportive and always ready to listen if you had problems. I pray for his family and loved ones. Jabville will be a little more empty without him but he's in a far better place as Jab mentioned. I hope he's looking down smiling at just how many lives he touched, even if it was for only an hour here or there in the chatroom. God bless Doc.

Doc used to keep me company on chat. I had never spoken to anyone with his wealth of knowledge on all things sci fi. I learned from him. I'm just sorry that we had conversations that were left unfinished since the time he took a break from the forum. I will miss him.

As Bliss was saying, I didn't know Doc as well as others around here did, but never the less... he was a Jabber! The last time I saw Doc, was last year during the Jabville of the Dead thread, he did some really great pages... and brought his humor into the jam.

My condolences, you will be missed Doc.

I didn't know Doc very well, I think I only talked to him once or twice in chat, but I know he will be missed by this community. In memory of our lost friend, I have promoted him to Jab Nirvana, the highest level we can reach.
