A while back before I joined the JAB forum and before JAB and his world came into my life, I was working on a short comic series about a hillbilly girl getting into crazy sex back-country hijinks and other shenanigans called Country Humpkin. She was a dim-witted, buxom blond named Milly roughly modeled after that chick in the Beverly Hillbillies.

I only have one surviving picture of her design (...partial, seen above) and I know I can do way better now... I am sure of it. Maybe. I live out in the country so I am surrounded by hillbillies and find myself with a very strange attraction to trailer trash and bumpkins.

Oh-kay, that was a bit long winded. I had a few stories in mind that I was planning to do but I abandoned the comic after seeing JAB's Farm Lessons. How can someone top F.L.? Anyway, the stories crop up now and again and I always want to put pen to paper but I don't want to seem like a copy cat. So, lo and behold, I thought what if I paid homage to JAB and his awesome characters by adapting my stories into short comics involving his peeps.

I know I am not asking for any kind of fame or compensation or weasel my way into the art side world of JAB's empire but to do something that is a direct tribute to the man himself. What's the protocol? How do I go about getting permission? What can I can or can't do in doing a small project like this? Did I leave anything out? I am sure I did.

Just a'wonderin'.

I have written several adult-oriented stories involving the Beverly Hillbilly characters.

That artwork of the Ellie May'ish girl is superb.

Big D.. I would email JAB directly and ask him. They are his characters, after all... and I don't think anyone could really answer those questions but him.

Whoa... just realized that this is an OLD post. LMFAO!
