sorry i didnt noticed about this thread before, that I find really interesting topic.
I dont want to seem a nit-pic hysteric virgin, but now I have to give you my opinion about that, for ovbious reasons, and the most important and the first thing I want to say is THAT I DONT WANT TO CHANGE ANYTHING, JUST TO EXPLAIN WHAT I FEEL ABOUT THE RANKINGS...

...well, and for me is obvious, but of course the rest of people probably did not think about that. The fact, is that althoght for me is a pleasure to share my words and thought with you all (and god knows how true that is) the fact is that I (and a lot of other people here) am not a english talker, so, for me is not the same  to be reading, and posting in the forum, but a sometimes difficult task, or at least, more difficult than for the  natural english talkers. for me this is not just reading the post of my friends, but making each minute an exercise, and effort, to comunicate about a matter (the erotic parody) that I find highly sugestive, and interesting. I am afraid I am going to look severe, but I have to be straight, a lot of people with that "barrier" would not take the work to participate in such a forum, just because they has some preference about that or other matter. If you have a "outsider", :D in your forum, you have to think. that guy really loves that business, thats why he or she is in there, is some kind of natural selection.
I´m of course trying not to say that because of that I am better than any other one on here, nor I deserve a different, or better treattement, that would be stupid, I just have other nationality and languaje, thats makes me no better than any other one, but what I would like to make you think about, is that as much as I love that forum, and what I get on it, I CAN´T post so much as others do, while for me is a absolutely different and slow procedure to go all throught the threads, keep em checked, and post to all the people to deserve some good words beacuse their art, thought, feedback, advices, and all the marvellous things I get on here, at our community, and you dont want to know how many times I felt that I am neglecting some guy who deserved me to say some more sentences to him about some nice compliment he or she made about my work, or that I´m not being able to participate in some interesting topic, with some deep thoghts.....and the posts says that I am... well.... a god.... I just fell I am lagging behind of so many of my friends here.

THAT WOULD IMPOSSIBLE at all, to develoup a totally fair Ranks sistem, and the acount of posts, is simply the best chance we have, to make an objetive rank of any member.

I just wanted to share a something that I was feeling for some time now, and of course, that is not a matter of life, I see that, and I didnt pay a lot of attention to it, when the rankings where just something that were there since I start posting in the forum, but now that we have develouped a new sistem, and  itis something that I could see as it happens, I couldn´t help myself to let you know about what I think about it all..... that was all....

I appreciate your thoughts on this matter Duke and I do understand your concerns. However, I must point out that while you probably don't post as much as others, your post are quality post nonetheless.  So in terms of Quantity over Quality, I would opt for quality.  The ranking system only indicates how many post someone has.  It in no way indicates if each post is of a quality nature.  So even if you have 5 posts or 50,000 posts, you will be treated the same here.  Although I do have to say this, we strive not to allow spam to occur here, so if you're just concerned (not you personally Duke) about ranking up your post and are just posting for no real reason, then we will stop you.  That's goes for everyone.  There are plenty of moderators here to make sure that this doesn't happen.  

 That being said, do not concern yourself too much about this new system. It is only a more well defined system.  The previous one was just too simple.

Thanks thanks jab for answering me so gently fast.... I feel now ashamed because I did not even know about that problem with "spam"?.... could you explain me whats that all about?.... I can swear to you (and I bet it is not needed) that I post when it is absolutely needed, because actually, I would like to post more, as I said, I feel like I neglect my interaction with the rest of members....

Perhaps the best example of spam is when ever Jerrykream goes on a rampage posting "you are a homo" in every thread in the forum. That gets annoying and old.

I don't think that was the point at all. We do have the general area for our psycho babble fun-loving posts. I think JAB was perhaps pointing out people that will come in and only make a smiley face on every thread just to up their post count. People that don't really give a shit. We all know that most of us are not like that. We just like to have fun. So post away Fester! I for one miss your outrageous posts, they make me all tingly inside.
