Hi guys, I'm pretty new to forum posting.. I have been lurking around here for a while and thought I should speak up and introduce my self.

I've been following JAB's work since around 99 when I first saw his Flintstones and Jetsons work.. needless to say I was really impressed with what he was doing. When I found this forum (almost two years ago  :-[ ) I was amazed at how many people had the same ideas and degree of talent. Back in 99 I was aspiring to do something.. hell anything as an artist, but I ened up putting that on the back burner and haven't done much work at all since then.

Recently though I have been watching all the great work posted by everyone I have seen here, and it has inspired me to get back into drawing.. if for noone else, at least for me.

So here is something I did back in 2000... it's all I have currently on my computer, since my scanner died it might be a little bit before I can get more online, but I'll be doing my best to get more online as soon as I can.

Hope it's well recieved I know it's not exactly in line with a lot of the work I have seen here but it is what I have, so here ya go, let me know what you think...

Welcome. Like you, I was inspired by others here to start drawing again and posting. As far as quality goes, compared with my pics, I'd have to say your pic is cleaner (I'm speaking of linework) and better than any of mine. Hope you keep posting!

I think it's a well done illustration! Besides I love the darker side of the fantasy realm, and if this is from 2000 I can only imagine how badass you are now!!! I hope you do find a way to get some more recent pics posted because I can tell you have a fantastic imagination and the talent to back it up! Good luck welcome to the other side of lurkerville! ;D

Welcome to the fold! You pic looks great. It reminds me of the first wave from the old Image Comics days. Definitely has a Jim Lee feel to me. Nicely done and I hope to see more!

I love the curves and grace of the lines - nice touch with the tail wrapped around the finger  8-)

Welcome:) Glad to see you are taking your art off the back burner.  Beautifully drawn and inked.  Nice job with the details and the line work on the wings.

Welcome to the forum!  Since you have been lurking for a while I really dont have to tell you that this is a great place full of friendly and very talented people.

Liek the pic, there is just something about the dark side of fantasy that is so alluring ... and your technical skill is quite good.(puts my scibbles to shame anyway)

I'm glad you stepped forward,

Meph

Yay, thanks a bunch guys!

Sharpie: I saw your work.. the Superman/Supergirl comic you did is excellent, a much larger task than I would be willing to take on anytime soon... keep up the great work.

ElysiumBliss: Dark Fantasy use to be one of my main interest.. I hope that I have become slightly more diverse.. only time will tell, that and a new scanner.

Diablito:Thanks for the compliment.. I remember when Jim Lee and a lot of other great artist left marvel to create Image Comics they where a big influnce on my older work.

Jaded_Blue:Succubi have always had a special place in my.. uhm.. lets pretend I am thinking heart. If something was going to take me out.. I couldn't imagine a better beasty to do it   :P

To everyone else thank you very much for the warm welcome, it's nice to be accepted so freely, I will do my best to get more recent stuff up soon.. even if I have to use my girlfriends digital camera.

I did some digging and I managed to find an older pencil drawing that I increased the contrast on a bit.. as well as one of the reasons why I originally stopped drawing. Both have a story behind them but only one is important ;)

This is the pencil drawing I was refering to.. it was something I did in 98 while stuck in a needless math class in collage. So at least that morning wasn't wasted  ;D

This image is why I stopped drawing for a while... It is a pencile drawing cleaned up in PS the original is 3 inches tall to give you an idea of scale, it was originally supposed to be a tatto, but I wont go into the details.. none of which are important now. But this was more typical of what I was drawing before the end of the last millennia/century/decade.

I think things shall be diffrent this time around  :)
