It's been a long time since I've taken pencil to paper. With the work I do, I only sketch design work and do all my work on computer. I haven't done much figure work. So I'm going to give this an old-school try. I've been diggin what I've been seeing here. The hardest thing is just deciding on a style. So, I'm gonna do some more surfing, see what I like and give it a try. I'll post something in the next day or two.

I can tell you from personal experience that it feels great to start drawing again after a long break. Just start drawing and your style will find itself. Have fun! 8-)

Ok, here's the first sketch. I'm going to next do the line art in vector format, take it into photoshop, color and shade it. It's been a very long time since I've taken pencil to paper much less a nude figure. I'm still exploring the style I like, it's not perfect but here's what I've started off with so far. (no snickering)

So...what do you think?

Great start, Blue Mirage! The expression, form and proportions all look very good, although you might want to smooth the curve of the boob on the left. I don't know what you were worried about. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you. I'm making alot of adjustments while I do the vector art. I got thru doing her head last night. I'm gonna tackle the body tonight. My optical mouse gave out a couple of days ago and I had to hook up my ball-track mouse till I can get out and purchase a new one. Damn, it makes you appreciate the opticals to no end.

Blue Mirage, this is a really nice start to a fine peice, I can tell! Something to consider though, the way her arms come from behind her makes it look a bit unnatural, this maybe ok if the subject is bound, but I don't think thats what your going for here. I'd love to hear what you think.
